In recent days, we have happened to read some articles written by experts in the wedding sector dealing with the age-old and debated question regarding the choice of some Ateliers to request a fee, or a contribution, for trying on wedding dresses.
We are obviously aware that this request is not exactly exciting for future brides and, in fact, our corporate choice has always included the free bridal consultation, a choice which will remain unchanged for the future; word of Sarah and Corinna.
In our Atelier, small and intimate but located in the historic heart of Milan, brides become more than just clients. We know them by name and try to interpret their personality to better understand their needs.
Certainly, our company policy cannot be adopted, for example, by larger commercial shops that make big numbers and generally ask for a payment for the appointment, especially on Saturdays. This usually serves to discourage those who are not really intending to purchase, or to disincentivize those who book an appointment and then don’t show up without even notifying the staff (which unfortunately happens quite often!).
Our advice is therefore to inform yourself adequately before making a reservation; the initial telephone approach can already make you understand what the atmosphere is like in the Atelier. Courtesy should not be an option, but an obligation on the part of those who answer you.
Check the type of dresses and the target audience they are aimed at by visiting the Atelier’s website; it is always a valid help. Look at the images, but above all, try to understand the philosophy that guides the choices of those who manage it.
In our next article, we will give you all the previews regarding the new collections we saw in Barcelona. As for Le Fate Milano, there will be some truly high-class news and important brand confirmations that we already have exclusive to Milan.
So girls… stay tuned! See you soon !!
